  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have an intermediate French-language level
  • Be a naturalized Canadian citizen;
  • Be a permanent resident under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
  • Be a temporary resident, holder of a temporary residence permit issued prior to permanent residency or holder of a Ministerial permit;
  • Be a person authorized to submit their request for Canadian permanent residency;
  • Be a temporary resident admitted as a temporary worker for one or multiple consecutive periods that do not exceed one year in total.
  • Be a temporary resident admitted as an international student for a duration of over six months.
  • Be a protected person in Canada (person who has obtained asylum)

  • Section 2 : Five key elements to better understand Quebec;

Who should participate in the Objective: Integration session?

The Objective Integration session is primary intended for immigrants who have an intermediate-level understanding of French.

What kinds of topics are addressed in the Objective: Integration session?

In Objective Integration, we’ll talk about:

  • Democratic values and Quebec values as expressed in the Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms, and how these come up in daily life.
  • Unique aspects of Quebec’s job market (cultural norms in the workplace)
  • Legal structures surrounding employment.

How long does the training program last?

The total duration of the training program is 24 hours, divided over 4 days. Sessions take place on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. [30-minute lunch break] and from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
